I discovered the therapeutic craft of needle felting in 2018. With a full on schedule it was hard to find the time to do anything for myself and I really craved that. In finding bit of time here and there it quickly grew from a hobby into a full on obsession, and then into a small business making commissions for people from all round the world.
Wanting to share the joy it gives me with others I started designing and making needle felting kits for others to try the craft and then in 2021 started running in person workshops to teach others. I do this with my sister in law through a new small business called Felty Bee Crafts.
Giving others the opportunity to carve some "me time" is a huge motivation and I am passionate about helping others realise the importance of looking after their mental health by exploring their creativity and allowing time out of their daily lives. I joined forces with Kerry McIntosh, a talented author and busy mum of twins, who after her own breast cancer rollercoaster, wanted to inspire others by sharing positivity through adversity stories. This developed into a YouTube chat series called The Positive Poke.
